NTA NEET 2019 is going to start it application process for Feb session.

NTA NEET 2019 UG Entrance exam Feb & May NEWS Notification. Get NTA NEET 2019 Application Form, Exam Dates, and Pattern & Syllabus here: NTA National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2019 tentative dates has been announced at a Press Release conducted on 7th July 2018. From NEET 2019 onwards, NTA NEET UG will be conducted by NTA i.e. National Testing Agency. NEET was conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi) till 2018 but from 2019 onward it will be a responsibility of NTA. One of the biggest changes is that from the next year onward NTA NEET UG 2019 will be conducted twice in a year.


NEET 2019

NTA NEET is basically an All India common entrance test conducted to grant admission to the applicants into MBBS/BDS programs in various Medical and Dental College across India except institutes established through an act of Parliament like AIIMS and JIPMER, Puducherry. It is necessary to qualify NEET examination in order to pursue medical education in India.

NTA has announced the tentative dates for the NEET UG 2019 examination but most of the NEET aspirants are still under confusion and have many questions regarding NTA NEET 2019. National Testing Agency Entrance Exam 2019 – NEET

National Testing Agency (NTA) is an autonomous, premier and self-sustained testing organization/agency approved by The Union Cabinet in 2017 to conduct entrance examinations for admission in higher educational institutions of India. It is administered by the Ministry of Human Resource Department, Government of India.

Apart from NEET UG examination, it also has the responsibility to conduct engineering (JEE), Pharmacy (GPAT), Management (CMAT) and College/University Teaching an Fellowship (UGC NET) entrance examinations in the country.

NTA is responsible for –

  • Conducting NEET online examination throughout the country,
  • Declaring NEET result,
  • Providing All India Ranks to the Directorate General Health Services for conducting counseling for 15% All India Quota seats, and
  • Supplying NEET result to state counseling authorities.

On 7th July 2018, Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Mr. Prakash Javadekar confirmed at a press meet that from 2019 onwards, NEET UG will be conducted by NAT and also revealed NEET 2019 tentative schedule.

NTA NEET 2019 Application form/ Registration

There are no changes in the registration procedure of the NEET 2019 application form as of now. If there will be any changes we will update the same here. Some important points are as follows-

  • NEET UG registration for Feb and May exam will start from 1st October 2018 and 2nd week of March 2019 respectively.
  • The applicants can submit the application form only through the online mode. No other mode will be applicable.
  • Offline applications will not be accepted in any case.
  • Applicants have to fill all the information accurately and in the prescribed format.
  • Applicants are required to upload the necessary documents like the scanned copy of their passport sized photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
  • Applicants have to pay a prescribed amount of application fee.
  • After submitting the application form they are required to download the confirmation page.
  • There is no need to send the printed copy of filled in application form to the office of the conducting body. Applicants can keep it safe with themselves for future references.
  • Applicants can also make corrections in the filled-in application form within the stipulated time period.

NEET 2019 Registration Fee

There will be no change in NEET 2019 registration fee. Candidates can make payment of the application fee through online mode i.e. through credit/debit card/ UPI/ Net Banking and E-wallet. Registration fee is neither transferable nor refundable.

NTA NEET 2019 Eligibility

Eligibility is an important factor to be considered before filing an application form. Candidates must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria before filling an application form. Below we have provided the complete eligibility criteria for NTA NEET 2019-


  • Indian citizen, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Foreign Nationals are eligible for NTA NEET UG 2019.
  • Candidates belonging to Jammu and Kashmir will be eligible only he/she submits a self-declaration form.

Age Criteria-

  • Applicants must have completed an age of 17 years.
  • The upper age limit for applicants is 25 years (30 years for SC/ST/ OBC and physically disabled candidates).

Educational Qualification-

  • Candidates must have qualified 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-Technology and English (as a compulsory subject) with minimum 50% for general, 45% for physically handicapped and 40% for SC/ST from a recognized Board.
  • Appearing candidates are also eligible.

NEET 2019 Exam Pattern

Below, we have shared the pattern of the NTA NEET FEB/MAY 2019 exam-

  • From 2019 onwards NEET UG examination will be conducted in online mode i.e. Computer Based Test (CBT).
  • Duration of the exam will be 3 hours.
  • The question paper will be of objective type questions.
  • Total 180 questions will be asked.
  • The question paper will be of total 720 marks.
  • The question paper will be asked in Hindi, English, Assamese, Gujarati, Marathi, Urdu, Oriya, Bengali, Telugu, Kannada and Tamil languages.
  • 4 marks will be given for every correct answer.
  • Provision for negative marking is also there and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong attempt.

NEET 2019 Admit Card

As usual NEET 2019 admit will be made available on the official website at least a week before the date of examination. Admit cards will be issued only to the registered candidates on the specified dates. Candidates have to download the admit card and have to carry the downloaded copy of the same to the examination center on the date of exam. Admit card is an important document to be carried to the examination venue as it carry information like candidate’s name, registration number, examination date and time, venue etc. Candidates can get their admit card from the official website of NTA. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination venue without a valid admit card.

NEET 2019 Answer Key

Once the online exam is over, NTA will release the official answer keys to the questions asked in the exam. Answer keys will be released a few days after the commencement of the examination on the official website. Answer Keys will be released for all the sets of the question paper and will be made available to the candidates in the form of a PDF. In case if any candidate wants to challenge the answer key and submit an objection against it then he/ she can do so within the stipulated date. After that, a final answer key will be released.

NEET 2019 Result

NEET 2018 for February and May exam is expected to release in the 1st week of March 2019 and June 2019 respectively. NEET 2019 result will be published online on the website. Candidates have to check it by using their valid login credentials. The result will carry the subject wise marks, ranks and other details of the candidates. No category-wise result will be announced. Candidates are advised to remain in touch with the official website in order to get regular updates about NEET UG 2019 results.

NEET 2019 Merit List

After the declaration of NEET UG 2018 result, Directorate General Health Services, Government of India will release merit list for filling 15% All India Quota Seats. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks and ranks of the candidates in the online examination. NTA will only release NEET result and merit list will be released by DGHS, Govt. of India for 15% All India Quota seats and for rest of the 85% state quota seats it will be prepared by the respective state counseling authorities. Date of release of merit list will be announced on the official sites.

NEET 2019 Counselling

NEET 2019 counselling is the last step for admission of candidates in the Medical and Dental colleges. Candidates whose names will be there in the merit list will be eligible for NEET UG 2019 counseling. Eligible candidates have to apply online through the official websites of the concerned counselling authorities. Counselling for filling 15% state quota seats will be conducted by The Directorate General Health Services, Government of India and for 85% state quota seats, it will be conducted by the state counseling authorities. Counseling will be conducted in different phases. Counseling will include- online application, payment of counselling fee, filling of online choices for preferred course and college, document verification, seat allotment and reporting etc.

Candidates are advised to carry all the required documents during the counselling process. Counseling will be conducted through online mode. Once the seats are allotted to the candidates, they have to report to the allotted college on the date and time specified to them.

NEET 2019 Preparations Tips

NEET UG 2019 aspirants can follow the given tips to prepare for NEET UG 2019-

  • Following a proper time-table is one of the keys behind a successful NEET candidate.
  • The timetable should not include long study hours. There should be short breaks in between.
  • As the syllabus has not changed, aspirants can take the help of previous year sample papers, question papers and can also take online mock tests.
  • Aspirants must take full sleep and a proper nutritional diet.
  • NTA will also upload practice material on the official website in the month of August.

NEET 2019 Important Changes and Guidelines

  • From 2019 onward NEET UG will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).
  • From 2019 onward NEET UG will be conducted twice in a year. This will give more chances for the candidates to get admission in the medical and dental college in India.
  • Applicants and appear for both the exams.
  • Out of the two exams the best score will be considered.
  • Earlier, NEET UG was conducted in offline mode but from 2019 onward it will be conducted in online mode only.
  • NEET online exam will now be conducted through highly protected /secured software in order to ensure no paper leakage and other malpractices.
  • The exam will be conducted in 8 different sittings between the stipulated exam dates.
  • Candidates now will be given an option to choose NEET exam dates as per their choice.
  • There will be no increase in the application fee.
  • There will be no change in the syllabus and exam pattern.
  • Now, the Aadhaar number will not be compulsory for filling NEET application form.
  • There is no provision for rechecking and re-evaluation of the answer sheets.
  • Practice module will be made available on the official website of NTA from 1st August. Rural candidates can also visit nearby engineering colleges, school and KVs on Sundays/ Saturdays for practice. NTA will establish a free network for practice in these centres so that rural candidates can also practice.
  • As NTA has announced the schedule for NEET UG 2019 examination in advance, there is enough time for preparation. So, interested candidates must utilize this opportunity.

HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar Press Release NTA NEET 2019

NEET NTA 2019 could be the most important entry examination in India for entrance to medicine and allied classes. From year 2019, NEET will be run by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and will be held twice per year in the month of February and May. Early NEET was conducted to get entrance to just medical and dental classes in India. Since 2018, CBSE announced that NEET score for the entrance into the health, medical and AYUSH. With the debut NTA, it’s crucial for applicants to get started preparing for NTA NEET 2019 well beforehand.

  • The running anatomy of NEET 2019 is National Testing Agency (NTA).
  • NEET 2019 online exam only.
  • The study of NEET 2019 will be held twice annually. It’s not compulsory on the portion of the applicants to sit the exam twice. NEET 2019 will be held in month of Feb 2019 and May 2019.
  • Numerous sittings will be stored for NEET 2019 and candidates given choice to opt for the exam date out of the eight sittings.
  • NTA will also create a network of testing center for giving an opportunity to the rural area students to practise before exam.
